I personally Coach you through the entire process of selling your home. From the Sales Price to reviewing comparables, critiquing and mutually agree to a listing price. I Review all necessary forms and Contracts with you in detail, I Review and Negotiate any and all offers, manage inspections, repairs and on to Settlement. I do it all.
Richard has been in the Real Estate business for close to 30 years, following his father who got his brokers license in the late 1950’s. Both of Richards brother and sister are licensed brokers as well. He started off in the Commercial Real Estate business for the first five years, exclusively representing Buyers/Tenants in Maryland. In 1995, he started The Buyer Brokerage, LLC with his brother John and moved the company to Northern Virginia. For the next 23 years he has Exclusively represented Buyers in Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. In early 2000, along with Representing Buyers in Real Estate with The Buyer Brokerage, LLC, Richard started Delmarva Design Build, LLC and then Joy Renovations, LLC which specialized in Residential Renovations from Bathrooms, kitchens and basements to entire homes. One project took him to the Carolinas for a year to completely renovate a 125 year old, ten bedroom home, matching the original trim, moldings and 12 foot ceilings to keep the original elegance of the home. These experiences have allowed Richard to share with his Buyer Clients, not only the ideas, but the costs and time frames for any renovations the Client may want to do when they purchase their new home.
With representing Buyers Exclusively for almost 30 years, Richard knew the Buyers side was where he wanted to focus his career. “I know the Buyers side as good as anyone out there and absolutely love what I do. When not representing Buyers to find their new home (which is never) Richard loves to spend the day at the beach, Busch Gardens, the lake or on a boat with his two daughters, Natalie and Madison. Richard also loves to deep sea fish and travels extensively to tournaments or fun fishing destinations in places like Costa Rica, Venezuela, Mexico, OC Maryland and the NC Outer Banks.
